If you feel burdened by other people’s problems, you must say no when anyone approaches you for new confidences and counsel. You cannot help everyone. Better help a few than have a burn-out trying to help all.
If you do not want to meet someone, never say yes to any invitation from her or him. Just say on the face of the person, “Sorry can NEVER be free”. Do not keep stuff hanging. They tend to later on hit you in the face.
If you do not like something you do and then later regret then just say “NO I will never do it again”. Old habits yield the same results over and over again. Say no to self-destructive old habits.
If you feel chronically tired and sleepy, say “No” to work even if that means you are going to be seriously late for the project-deadline. Or for whatever else that seems to pressing now. Remember, you have to be alive and healthy to work. Burn-outs do not help anyone. Sooner or later you are just going to collapse. That heart-attack does not come from the air.
If you dislike your date, say “NO” to him or her. Walk out of a bad relationship. But if you are married, then you cannot use this point. But before marrying you have the choice to walk out. Exercise that choice. Do not marry in haste and repent later. Stop hoping for what’s not gonna click…

I think people have a hard time saying “No” because we’ve been conditioned that no is a bad thing. When we were children, we were told no alot.
Can I have this?
No.
Can I eat that?
No.
Can I burn this?
NO!
And as we got older and we tried to use no with our parents…
Clean you’re room….
No!
How did that work for you?
Besides, as humans we like to help people and don’t feel good about saying no.
I am someone who 100% believes in saying no and that there is nothing wrong with it.

[...] do not forget to say NO to further meetings, calls and parties… but if you have a psycho in hand…just run, run and RUN. [...]
